I kept driving past garage sales I never knew were happening. The existing apps for this are either abandoned, paywalled, or scrape public listings badly.

So I built Stoople: a free live map of every garage sale, yard sale, estate sale, and curb-side free pile in your city.

How it works:

• Browse sales near you on a real-time map, no signup needed
• Filter by category (furniture, vintage, books, tools, records, kids, garden, free)
• Search by keyword to find sales matching your specific interests (vinyl, Pyrex, vintage cameras, whatever you're hunting)
• Plan your Saturday route across multiple sales in one trip
• Get email notifications when new sales pop up in your area
• Drop sighting pins for sales you spot in the wild

The map is seeded daily with fresh listings from public sources across 14 US metros (LA, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Austin, Portland, Seattle, Denver, Cleveland, Milwaukee, OKC, San Antonio, Orlando, Minneapolis). At least for now so first users have something to look at.

Built solo in 1 week with Next.js, Supabase, and Leaflet. Free, optional signup, no paywall.
