Project Commander

Know if your Jira plan will hit the deadline

Productivity ToolsSaasFree product
Project Commander is a native Jira app that answers the question a status report cannot: will this plan land on time? It weighs remaining work against your team's real capacity through the target date, flags overloaded sprints and threatened dependencies weeks early, and gives a forecast finish date with a confidence range. It is an add-on for Jira, not a replacement for it.

What does Project Commander help with?

Jira already holds everything needed to answer whether a plan will land: the sprints, the estimates, who is on what, and the links between issues. It just never does the arithmetic. Project Commander does it.

What it does:

  • Delivery forecast with a confidence range, not just charts
  • Demand against capacity tracked over time, so overload is visible before it arrives
  • Overloaded sprints found, with Auto-Level to rebalance them in one press
  • Dependency conflicts and cross-sprint blockers raised as alerts
  • What-If scenarios for velocity, scope and capacity
  • Scope creep rebuilt from Jira's own change history
  • Portfolio rollup across several projects at once
  • Risk and action registers
  • Estimation in story points or in time
  • Native Forge app, so the data stays inside Atlassian

It installs into your own Jira site and leaves Jira as the place the work lives. The only Atlassian products it stands in for are Jira Premium's planning and capacity features, and Rovo's delivery reporting. Free during beta.
