OpenFang is an open-source Agent Operating System built in Rust that lets you deploy secure, autonomous AI agents across dozens of channels from a single binary. With 7 pre-built Hands, 30 agents, 40 channels, and 38 tools, it provides a kernel-grade foundation for serious agent orchestration without sacrificing performance or safety.

Designed for production environments, OpenFang ships with 16 discrete security systems, including a WASM dual-metered sandbox, Ed25519 manifest signing, Merkle audit trails, taint tracking, SSRF protection, and strict subprocess isolation. Tool code executes inside a sandboxed runtime with workspace-confined file access, env-cleared subprocesses, enforced timeouts, and a 10-phase graceful shutdown.

Developers can plug into SQLite-backed vector memory, Model Context Protocol (client and server), Google A2A, and the OpenFang Protocol for authenticated P2P agent networking. Persistent memory, cross-channel sessions, and automatic LLM-based compaction ensure agents retain context across Telegram, Discord, Slack, WhatsApp, Matrix, and many more adapters.
