NullClaw is an ultra-lean AI assistant infrastructure engineered in Zig for extreme performance, portability, and security. It compiles into a single 678 KB static binary that boots in under 2 ms and runs comfortably on low-cost ARM SBCs, microcontrollers, and edge boards with around 1 MB of RAM. If you need autonomous AI agents on constrained hardware or distributed edge environments, NullClaw is built for that reality.
Written 100% in Zig and fully agnostic across ARM, x86, and RISC-V, NullClaw delivers a feature-complete stack without heavyweight runtimes or virtual machines. It supports 22+ AI providers, 18 communication channels, and 18+ tools, alongside hybrid vector + FTS5 memory, subagents, streaming, voice, tunnels, hardware peripherals, and MCP integration. Core systems use vtable interfaces, so providers, channels, tools, memory backends, tunnels, and observers are all pluggable.
Security is prioritized with pairing workflows, strict sandboxing via landlock, firejail, bubblewrap, and docker, explicit allowlists, workspace scoping, and encrypted secrets. This makes it suitable for production-grade autonomous agents that must operate safely on shared or sensitive infrastructure.
