Our inspiration for creating Guidel came from a shared frustration with traditional guided tours and audio guides. Traveling often felt rigid and impersonal—locked into someone else’s schedule, limited by generic narratives, or stuck with content that wasn’t in our preferred language. We saw an opportunity to create something better: a way for travelers to explore culture on their own terms.

As passionate travelers ourselves, we wanted to make cultural storytelling more accessible, engaging, and personal. The idea for Guidel was born from those experiences—an app that tailors stories to your interests, works anywhere in the world, and breaks down barriers like language or cost. We knew technology could bridge these gaps, and we’re excited to bring this vision to life for travelers everywhere.
