A collecting game for real plants, animals and fungi

Biotadex

Biotadex turns going outside into a collecting game. Photograph a plant, bird, bug or mushroom, get it identified in seconds, and add it to your field guide. Earn numbered stickers at crates on the map and trade spares. Free on iPhone and Android.
What to expect from an ideal product
- Biotadex crates appear as map markers in the app. Walk to one in real life, tap it, and you unlock a numbered sticker tied to that specific location.
- Each numbered sticker represents a real species. Collecting them fills out your field guide the same way spotting the actual plant or animal does.
- Duplicate stickers are not wasted. Biotadex lets you trade spares with other players, so every crate visit has value even if you already own that number.
- The identification step is built in. Photograph whatever you find nearby, get a species ID in seconds, and the creature goes straight into your collection without leaving the app.
- Crates give you a reason to visit specific outdoor spots. If you are trying to complete your sticker set, the map turns a local park or nature trail into a targeted hunt rather than a casual walk.
