What does Oars help with?

Your servers, all in one place.

Oars brings everyday Linux server operations into a local desktop workspace. Organize server profiles into groups, open SSH terminals, transfer and edit files over SFTP, inspect resource use, and search or follow logs.

AI assistance with you in control.

Choose your AI provider and review the server context you share. When the assistant proposes a command, inspect the exact target and command before approving it. Review the real output and ask AI to explain the result.

Security built into the workflow.

Oars checks SSH host fingerprints and stops connections when a trusted identity changes. Saved passwords and provider credentials use the OS credential store. Local history and audit records help you review previous commands and actions.

Saved scripts, reviewed deployment plans, SSH key management, scheduled backups, and remote desktops through SSH complete the workspace. Oars is free under the MIT license and runs on macOS and Linux.
