What it does Lispr is a free voice dictation and translation app for macOS. Press and hold the right Option key, speak, and your words appear in whatever app you are in: email, docs, chat, browser fields, your editor. Press Option + Control to speak in one language and drop the translation straight into your text.

How it works Speech runs through hosted Whisper large-v3-turbo. Warm-path responses land at a median of 346 ms, so dictation keeps pace with natural speech. Lispr handles around 99 languages with mid-sentence switching, 32 translation targets, and roughly 40 interface languages.
