Local businesses that want to run a loyalty program are stuck choosing between two bad options: build a native app, which is expensive, slow, and something nobody downloads for a coffee shop, or pay for a platform that charges a premium for infrastructure most small venues don't need. We built CrabTap to skip both problems. It's a PWA, so there's no app store, no download friction, and no per-venue app to maintain. Customers get one account and one QR code that works across every participating venue instead of a separate card for every coffee shop and barbershop they visit. They earn stamps or points and redeem them for real rewards set by each business. For owners, it's a simple scan-and-reward flow at checkout, plus tools to send promotions and win back customers who haven't been in for a while. Our goal was to make loyalty programs something a single-location business can actually afford and set up in a day, not something that requires a marketing budget or a dev team.
